Heat Pumps
Heat pumps are a great way to implement energy efficiency in your Washington home. They take the place of furnaces and air conditioners by providing both heat and cool air whenever needed.
Our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) experts possess high levels of experience and knowledge to install, replace, repair, and maintain your home’s heat pump. If you are considering a heat pump new installation or replacement, or if you are looking for repairs or maintenance, you will not find more qualified and reliable professionals than you will at Resicon here in Puyallup, WA, and its surrounding areas.
No matter what type of residential heat pump you are contemplating or have, our experts live up to our reputation.
How Are Heat Pump Systems Different?
Electric heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners. They work differently than more traditional heating and cooling systems.
Heat pumps take heat from the outdoors and transfer it into your home when our Washington outdoor temperatures dip. Then during the warmer season, they move the heat from inside your home outdoors.
Because they transfer heat from one location to another instead of creating heat, heat pumps are very energy efficient, costing you much less in energy than conventional HVAC systems that burn fossil fuels to generate heat.
Heat Pump Benefits
Energy efficiency, which saves you money year-round, is just one of the multiple benefits a heat pump offers. If you don’t have a heat pump in your home, now may be the time. Our heat pump installation experts will take care of the service for you as well as give you the advice needed to reduce your energy consumption and lower your home’s energy bills.
Another benefit is the positive impact a heat pump can have on your home’s indoor air quality (IAQ). Since a heat pump is simply transferring heat instead of creating it with fossil fuels, it does not contribute to poor indoor air quality.
At Resicon, our home comfort specialists only work with the industry’s leading systems and materials, so you can rest assured your heat pump will keep you comfortable for years.

Need Heat Pump Service?
“Dave and his crew did an incredible job with the installation of a heat pump at our home in March! It was clear they were experts in the system and it's capabilities. They treated our home with the utmost respect and did an incredible cleanup after the work was complete (you would never know that construction had taken place that same day!). All of our questions were answered before they left and, one month later, everything is still working perfectly!”
“Myself and my neighbor both had the Heat Pump installed almost two years ago. My neighbor came over today because she couldn’t get her heat to work. I made a call to Resicon and Dustin came to her home before the end of the day and replaced her fuses and it was up and running perfectly. I also had Dustin show me how to replace the fuses in case this happens to my system and he also gave me the fuses if I ever needed them. I am overwhelmed at the excellent customer service Resicon gives to everyone. I would recommend Resicon to everyone because they truly are a company that provides quality products, installation and customer service. Thank you Resicon!!!”
“Thank you for all your help with our new SanCO2 water heater heat pump. We love it!
Will you please let Jason, and the Resicon team of Tristan, Miguel, Chase, and Phillip, know how pleased we were with their work, their friendliness and their professionalism? It was amazing watching them use their collective expertise to install this unique system. And of course, we are very grateful to have hot water back again. We are very appreciative of your company’s responsiveness!”
Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
We went through Resicon to replace our old oil furnace with a Mitsubishi hyperheat ducted heat pump and highly recommend them. I really appreciate Miguel’s passion for the product. I was impressed that he has even traveled to the manufacturing center in Japan. He even has the same system in his own house. Resicon was the only company we found that addressed 1. decommission of the oil tank, 2.attic insulation, and 3. duct cleaning. They also installed Panasonic ventilation fans, which are a must have! Having one company coordinate all this work really saved us a lot of headaches.
Miguel is honest and he never tried to up-sell me on anything. He took the time to understand what we wanted and go through what would work for our house. The crew and staff at HQ were all great. Thanks guys!
We had reached out for 3 other bids and I was amazed by the lack of knowledge. I was very specific about wanting the hyperheat (H2i) model because it is efficient down to negative teens and standard heat pumps really lose efficiency around 20 degrees. Two of the companies were well-rated, but were more interested in selling products from another manufacturer. One was very misleading (or full of it) and the other proceeded to claim he was a very smart engineer then tried to sell us on an under-sized system . I can only assume this was due to commission because the equipment I wanted cost more. The third prescribed the same system, but was charging a higher price for less work.
We are extremely happy with our heat pump! We no longer have to use our pellet stove and now have every room in the house warm (basement included). Looking forward to the summer months to try the AC. Not only is the system efficient; it is clean, quiet, and hassle free. No more running to the store to buy pellets or cleaning ash. I recommend the H2i models (ducted or ductless) because they keep working when the mercury really drops, but research for yourself. If you have thought about a heat pump or AC, and can afford a $100/month bill then do it! The cost savings end up paying for the job.
Thanks to everyone at Resicon. The work you have done has been a total life-changer for us!

“When the serviceman installed my ductless heat pump, he was very professional and courteous. He finished in a short amount of time and he was nice. Thank you for sending a great serviceman to do this job.”
