Kudos to Resicon’s Trailblazer

Resicon Heating & Air Plumbing Electrical is proud to announce that Vielka Ansari, our company’s co-owner, has been named to Inc. Magazine’s prestigious 2024 Female Founders 250 list.
Inc. Magazine’s annual list of women who make “waves in business” recognizes Vielka, known as “V,” as a trailblazer in her field. Here at Resicon, we have always regarded our dynamic co-founder as one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs in the HVAC Industry because of her unique story, determination, and commitment to excellence.
From Employee to HVAC Entrepreneur
Vielka’s path to HVAC entrepreneurship began when she moved from San Francisco to Washington in 2009. She initially pursued a career as a loan officer but found it was not the right fit.
Instead, she joined a construction company as an accountant, where she met Craig Christensen, the firm’s construction manager. After working together as colleagues for a few years, they took a leap of faith and decided to form their own HVAC company in 2013.
They named it Resicon (Short for Residential construction).
Rolling Up Their Sleeves
Craig and Vielka knew their new venture would require sacrifice and thinking outside the box. The early years were tough, and Vielka recalls working long hours and weekends to build the business.
Their commitment to excellence encouraged them to keep going, and the relationships they had developed in the construction industry smoothed their path to success.
Initially, Resicon operated with its founders and just two field employees. Today, Vielka and Craig lead a team that includes their spouses and 40 other dedicated professionals.
Trailblazing and Confidence
Inc. Magazine aptly describes Vielka as a trailblazer. She attributes her success to knowledge, confidence, and hard work. She does not shy away from her expertise and encourages others to do the same.
“If someone is questioning your knowledge, you have to dig your heels in if you know you are right and take credit where credit is due,” she said.
Her advice to new entrepreneurs starting their own businesses? Vielka tells them to “keep learning, challenging yourself, and pushing boundaries.”
Leadership Style
Vielka admits she often leads with her heart. But as she has grown into her role as an entrepreneur and employer, she has learned to balance emotion with practicality.
Vielka said her top priority is taking care of her team and the customers. Her open-door policy fosters a family-like environment at Resicon.
Recent Achievements
Vielka notes two significant milestones that occurred over the past year:
After giving managers more responsibilities, she and Craig have more time to focus on strategic growth rather than day-to-day company operations. It is a testament to their trust in their team.
They also moved into a larger facility to better serve their customers. Their decision reflects their confidence in Resicon’s future.
