The fall season has just begun, and soon it will be time to fire up our heaters again. But when was the last time you had your heater checked for maintenance? If you suspect that your heater isn’t in top shape, we strongly urge you to get it checked now. And if it’s the case that your heater is near the point of replacement, our suggestion would be a ductless heat pump. Here’s why:

With the fall season approaching, it’s time to start thinking about your furnace. A quick maintenance call should be able to give you an update on the status of your furnace. We especially recommend it for furnaces since carbon monoxide leaks are more prevalent in aged systems that haven’t been inspected recently.
In the event that your furnace is nearing the end of its life or beyond repair, a replacement may be in order. Here are a few signs that you should start thinking about replacement.

If you currently own a central air conditioning system or heater, then you are currently relying on your duct system to do all of the heavy lifting. However, if you’ve been doing research and have been reading about other AC options, you’ve undoubtedly read all sorts of things about ductless heat pumps. They might even sound like miracle machines at this point!
Well, honestly, they are pretty good. Some of the initial drawbacks would be that they’re expensive to install, and the fact that they operate year-round means they require more maintenance. But if you’re fine with both of those things, they can be far better alternatives than duct systems. We’ll help you understand why with a few points below.

Ductless mini-split systems are wonders of the HVAC industry. They can be used for both heating and cooling, they’re efficient from month to month, and they can be controlled individually. The higher upfront costs of these units are easily justified by the monthly money savings and convenience of use.
A lesser-known benefit of these systems, however, is that they can be used in some very particular situations where a normal central AC system just won’t cut it. In this post, we’ll try to inspire you with a few ideas.

Resicon LLC was recently mentioned in the January 2018 issue of Accelerate, an online and print magazine all about Natural Refrigerant-based technology.
Reiscon LLC was cited for their help in installing Sanden heat pump water heaters for the HomeWise Weatherization Program. HomeWise, a program based under the City of Seattle’s Office of Housing, focuses on reducing the energy burdens and utility costs for low-income households.
Charlie Rogers, property rehabilitation specialist for HomeWise, found that Sanden heat pump water heater’s were the best choice, for their ability to deliver a 1.05 savings-to-investment ratio. As for the installation of the systems, none other than Resicon LLC was chosen for the job.
Along with installing the new heat pump water heaters in 24 apartments, Resicon LLC also installed ductless heat pumps and made upgrades to the lighting, insulation, and air sealing.

Heat pumps are one of the more innovative air conditioning solutions out there on the market. They work almost just the same as normal air conditioners, but with one key difference: they have both cooling and heating functions. All it takes is flipping a switch to reverse the flow of refrigerant, and you have a genuine home heater and AC in one device.
It’s no surprise, then, that many homeowners—whether or not they currently have an AC system—want to know more about them. In this post, we’ll help answer three questions about heat pumps.

Poor indoor air quality (IAQ) is one of the leading causes of poor health, in homes and commercial buildings alike. If you’ve ever walked into a home or building and started feeling strange, felt stifled, or become irritated in your eyes or throat, it could very well be due to poor indoor air quality in Tacoma, WA.
It’s not always easy to tell if what you’re feeling truly is a result of IAQ, but in this post, we’ll go over some signs that it really is the air and not just you.
